Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Dolphin Sa1 enjoys a very central location, convenient for exploring the heart of Swansea and close to amenities like a cheap car park and the bus station. Many guests appreciate having a bath in the bathroom, along with tea and coffee facilities and a smart TV for entertainment. The presence of a café on the ground floor is also a plus for some, although a few guests have mentioned that the hotel exterior doesn't look particularly inviting. Rooms are noted for being well-laid out, and some even feature views of the bay at Rhossili and a church at Oxwich.

decent Location, some ISSUES

dirty bedding limited options
The room wasn't as clean as I hoped it would BE. I noticed old chips on the floor, which wasn't a great FIRST impression. The bedding didn't seem very fresh either. Breakfast was a letdown. The options were limited and the quality seemed questionable. One staff member even made a comment about the food being out of date, which DEFINITELY didn't encourage me to eat it.

Central Stay, Great Staff, Market Access

convenient location polite staff clean room bath shower
The location proved very convenient, situated right above the local market. I found the staff polite. Wayne particularly stood out for his helpfulness. My room was clean upon arrival and well-stocked with necessary amenities. I especially appreciated the bath and shower combination available in my room.
Sound insulation was lacking (at times!), and I could hear noises from neighboring rooms.
Rooms

My room included fresh towels, soap, shampoo, and replenished toilet paper (a BIG plus). It had both a bathtub and a separate shower, offering options for relaxation or quick refreshment. The design included a comfortable bed and functional furniture.

The location was EXCELLENT!!! It was right in the center of town. The staff at reception were very patient with our group. The bed was comfy.
The carpets had some stains and they had not been hoovered.

Acceptable Stay with Some Issues

cold room long deposit refund
My stay wasn't terrible. I faced a few notable problems. The room felt quite cold upon arrival. The window was actually open, and sadly the radiators didn't seem to work at all! It was also disappointing that I had to pay a £100 deposit. I won't receive that back for a week.
